CETYS University Campus Tijuana invited its alumni community to participate in one of our activities and last Saturday, September 21st they had the opportunity to attend the “Casa Hogar” (orphanage) Colina de Luz where a psychoeducational talk was given and through group activities, students shared time with the kids of the orphanage.

A talk was given by Ms. Itzel Diaz, a volunteer of “Fronteras Unidas Pro Salud, A.C.” about “The good management of emotions” with the aim of benefiting young people by providing them different tools and recommendations to express their feelings. They were presented the assertive way to manage and control their emotions, explained how to recognize them without affecting themselves or others and finally they were introduced to the emotional intelligence concept in order to be able to apply it in their daily lives. Once the talk was over, Ms. Jocelyn Martinez, Operational Coordinator of Fundación Esperanza Contigo, A.C. organized activities so that the CETYS community could get involved and participate along with the kids.

It was a day full of laughter and fun, at the end of the day our guests from CETYS University gave donations obtained from their community. We deeply appreciate their interest in collaborating with us and their contribution to “Casa Hogar Colina de Luz”.
