In collaboration with U.S. telemedicine company “Beam Healthcare” and its non-profit organization “Beam Up,” this year we launched an unprecedented program in Mexico that provides greater access to preventive medical services via state-of-the-art telemedicine equipment to children, young people, and employees of the orphanages in Tijuana.
This pilot plan has positively impacted more than 200 people at four orphanages located in the city of Tijuana, Baja California. Through the telemedicine equipment installed, and the network of volunteer doctors participating in the program, our Foundation has provided remote access to preventive medical care and psychological therapy, facilitating the consistency of such services among the population.
This technology enables the creation and management of digital medical records that allow both physicians and staff to keep an adequate control of the progress and development of each patient.
